This past November, Jake Markman celebrated his comedy themed Bar Mitzvah. The three day event brought friends and family together from the synagogue, to a beautiful luncheon, followed by an awesome reception at the Palma Ceia Country Club.

As guests entered Palma Ceia, adults enjoyed a cocktail hour overlooking the golf course. Teenage attendees played Nintendo Wii, socialized, had caricatures done, and took snapshots in the photobooth. A red carpet led to the ballroom which was decked out witha blue and green color scheme, a VIP lounge,  “Jake’s Comedy Club” logo on the dance floor, and fun lighting also provided by MMD Events. Chocolate Pi made a beautiful custom cake representative of the theme and M&M Entertainment got the party started. Jake performed two comedy routines at the reception, and WOW…This kid has talent! The energy and people at this event made for one memorable Mitzvah!

The event was held at the Ritz Ybor and the theme of the night was The Future Is Now. Guests entered on a white carpet through a lighted spandex tunnel. Models escorted guests into the party where the room was decorated with an LED dance floor, illuminated lounge furniture, and a laser light show. We decked out the Ritz with infinity tables, an oxygen bar, and 7-foot tall standing chandeliers. There was no shortage of food with A La Carte doing the catering. Sushi was provided by Samuri Blue, Dip ‘n Dots ice cream added a futuristic touch, and to top it all off, Chocolate Pi made a BEAUTIFUL custom cake with a built-in hologram. Cutouts of the birthday girl were placed in the window cases at the venue, making this event a complete showstopper. DJ fresh raised the roof (literally), as he played music from a raised platform…which doubled as a time machine! The band, (for privacy we cannot mention) topped off the night with a meet and greet, as well as an unforgettable performance. The Élan team is proud to have the BEST clients! Happy Birthday Jenn!

A few months ago we had the pleasure of helping our friends over at CSE Photography with the design and planning of  their Studio Grand Opening Party.  We have known CSE Photography for a while now and are so happy to see them grow.  It went fabulous and over 70 people got to check out their amazing new space.

We have been really busy around here lately and we apologize for the lack of blog posts.  We are especially sorry since we left off with the opening night of the film festival and never posted about the amazing closing night soiree that we had which was PUBLISHED in Event Solutions Magazine, the national magazine for event professionals.

We originally planned (and designed) the party to be themed “Under The Sky With Diamonds” with a roof-top party on the top floor of the parking garage in Hyde Park.  However, Mother Nature had other plans.  So “Plan B” it was (which you MUST ALWAYS HAVE- it even happens to us!) which was inside an empty store front and it turned out better then imagined.

MMD events did an amazing job with the décor. We still had the sparkle and diamonds (which coincidently was our vodka sponsor for the night), but it was accented with a more modern feel.  We had a special VIP lounge draped all in white, with chandeliers and a glowing private bar where guests such as Stephen Baldwin, Rep. Kevin Ambler, Arielle Kebbel (the Rising Star recipient) and Governor Charlie Crist could enjoy themselves.  We had go-go dancers, a crystal ball juggler, underwear models behind the bar and male models handing out Barefoot Champagne to everyone as they arrived.

All of our hard work paid off in the end. See for yourselves!

We had the honor of planning & coordinating Nicoya’s Sweet 16 celebration!  The theme was old Hollywood movies and it was so much fun to go back in time.  The Ritz was the perfect venue to set the mood.  Guests entered on a red carpet and were treated to a slideshow and dance performances (from professionals and the birthday girl herself!) throughout dinner.
